The Left and the Right have turned into a train wreck, with both only concerned with party first, and each election at every level of government gets worse. We went from Republican and Democrat to MAGA and ANTI MAGA, and both have gone to the extreme. When a third party tries to emerge, both parties do and say everything they can to destroy it. The principles that once spoke for what each party was about has been replaced by the lowest in character, integrity, humanity, and basic respect.
Some even say that It's really a one-party system that looks like two but it's an illusion. The Republican and Democrat party seems like a two headed coin. Two faces, facing opposite but with a common goal. Sell out to big business and pretend to the people that you care.
Different actors but the same clowns, maybe with different scripts but the same performance, funded by same financiers. This country needs morally sound leaders who aren't taking lobbyist money and want to do right for the American people for a change.
What a novel concept right? I’ve even heard that all politicians should wear NASACAR driver suits that display all their corporate sponsors patches on them.
People are unhappy with the Republican and Democrats. They hunger for an effective function to government. The 2 major parties are no longer seen as viable to many in the USA. We need to forge a better path forward. Resolve, discipline, leadership and fortitude are all values that remain universally relevant regardless of affiliation. What has dangerously deteriorated is the truth, and fact checking is now required in these times.
You don't have to be on one side or another to see where these politicians are taking the country. The American people need to know that they need to leave both left and right and create something else, and if we can’t create another party, we need to hold the people that are there now accountable! We need to vote for the country, not the politicians and their agendas to get back to some sense of normalcy first, and a third party will not happen overnight.
I propose that everyone change their voter affiliation to “Not a member of a party” voter. Do this, and there is no way to “redraw” voting district lines. There will be no need, because there will be no “party” to affiliate with. Let them take their chances at the polls and let non-affiliated voters cast the votes.
We also need to demand term limits! Plain and simple. Term limits for every politician, not just the president. NONE of this will ever happen again! Get rid of these lifelong politicians, and the corporate donors and the media will not have anyone to “buy”.
